Olathe Northwest senior Reagan Hathaway entered her last regular season game vs Olathe North with 14 home runs looking to make history. After being walked in the 1st inning, Hathaway stepped up to the plate in the 2nd with the bases loaded and hit a bomb into right field.
This grand slam gave Hathaway the record with 15 home runs, however she wasn't done yet. In the 2nd game of the night, Hathaway hit a monster home run to right field, giving her 16 on the season.
She also hit a hard line drive to the first baseman who couldn't handle it, which allowed her a single. In her final at bat of the night, Hathaway got intentionally walked, that ended her going 3 for 3 on the night.
Hathaway not only holds the record for the most home runs held in a season, but she also is tied for the most home runs held in a game with 3.
The Ravens ended their regular season 18-2 and will host Regionals this Tuesday at CBAC.
Congratulations to Hathaway and the rest of the team on their great season.
